We are a whimsical tea room with a modern edgy twist. Specializing in Afternoon Tea and fun specialty treats & drinks. What Covid-19 precautions and requirements are in place? 

In order to comply with CDC guidelines and to ensure the safety of our guest and staff. We have implemented the following precautions and requirements. Masks are required when walking into the restaurant & to and from the table. Staff wears masks and face shields.  Social distancing when possible while walking through restaurant. Operating at current level allowed by the local officials. Sanitizing frequently and between customers. Limited capacity to allow for social distancing between tables. Hand sanitizer provided. Mask provided if you forget your mask. Thank you for helping us to do our part to slow the spread of Covid-19.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Walk-ins are welcomed on weekdays (Wednesday – Friday). Reservations are required on weekends. Due to social distancing guidelines we are expecting reservations to fill up quickly.  Make your reservation online (included link here) or call 562-270-1400. A credit card hold is required to make a reservation. No penalty to cancel up to 24 hours prior to reservation time. However, no-shows will be charged a $25 penalty. This is due to our limited seating for social distancing guidelines. Thank you for understanding.

Can we share an Afternoon Tea service?

Our single service Afternoon Tea is enough food for 1 guest.  You can add additional items like a scone and/or salad for additional guest. If you choose not to add on additional items a shared plate fee of $8 will be added to bill. Thank you for understanding.

Is there a dress code?

No dress code is required. However we do encourage you to come in your tea party best. We have lots of cute places for your Instagram worthy photos. We do offer dress-up accessories to borrow during your visit. 

I want to come with a larger group for Afternoon Tea?

A reservation is required for groups of 6 or more. Our private party room can be reserved for extra large parties. As with all reservations a credit card is required to hold.  Large groups require a 72 hour cancelation. We will hold your table for 15 minutes. If we are unable to reach you or you advise us at the time we reach you, that you are not coming, a no-show fee of $100 will be charged to the card on file. Due to kitchen size, number of quest to serve and time management, pre-ordering is required for groups of 6 or more. This is to keep everyone happy and the flow of tea service to be uninterrupted. 

Do you do anything special for birthdays?

Absolutely! Each birthday celebrant will receive a complimentary cupcake with candle, along with happy birthday singing!

Are Children allowed?

Children are our specialty. To serve, not eat! We offer the Lil Prince/Princess Tea. We have a selection of non caffeine teas and yummy specialty drinks like our Unicorn Cocoa that is sure to be a big hit with the little ones. 

Can we choose the sandwiches for our Afternoon Tea Service?

You sure can! Tea sandwiches will be served in pairs. We will pair each tea sandwich with the best bread that compliments your selection. Each tea service comes with an assortment of sweets unless stated otherwise in description. We serve freshly made, quality ingredients created by our chefs to serve to you from our kitchen. 

Can I bring food from outside?

Outside cakes or cupcakes are welcomed. A cake cutting fee of $3.00 per person will be added to the bill. All other outside food and drinks are not allowed. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have a gift shop?

Yes we do! It’s growing every day. We sell designs by local artist, antiques bric a brac and whimsical fun gift items. Take home a lovely keepsake to remember your afternoon at DCTT&PR.

Where do I park?

We have plenty of parking in our back parking lot, as well as street parking. Wheelchair access is located in the back. The wheelchair entrance is through the party room entrance on the left. 

Do you offer catering?

We sure do! That is how we started way back in 2004! We have a lovely event room for your party needs. However we would be more than happy to bring the party to you, with our full service mobile party catering. Click here for more info or visit online orders to order any of our tea services to go. 

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept all credit cards or cash. Sorry no checks.

Do you ever make donations to charity?

We love helping the local community. If you are asking for a donation for your school event, non profit party or fund raiser please email us your donation letter. We will try our best to donate to your cause. Please keep in mind we have an allotted amount of certificates available each month to donate to local schools and charities.   Click here to send us your donation letter.
